Background Story of Ordinary/Simple Wish只要平凡
This song was the theme song of the highly praised film “Dying to Survive我不是药神” released in 2018. On May 24, 2019, this song was nominated for the “Best Film Song Award of the 25th Huading Awards”.
This was the first time the two singers Zhang Bichen and Zhang Jie working together. The two singers were both moved by the emotions delivered by this song, so they devoted all their feelings during recording. In this song, Zhang Bichen and Zhangjie used their voices to reflect the hardship and efforts made by various common people in order to survive in difficult life, while paying respect to the extraordinary deeds done by ordinary people, the two singers also put their own understanding of the in-depth meaning of life into the song.
